When we think of women in the 20th century, we think of firsts. We think of the pioneers, the leaders, those women who broke through barriers. We think of women like Wilma Rudolph, Rachel Carson, Madeleine Albright, Rosa Parks and Sandra Day O'Connor. We think of these and the countless other women whose courage and determination to succeed propelled them past the obstacles they faced and onto the pages of history.
