MALAYSIA'S fundamental valuations can support a Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange Composite Index (KLCI) level of 1200, which can rise to between 1300 and 1400 with the right fiscal moves, said Mr Donald Hanna, managing director of Salomon Smith Barney Hong Kong Ltd.
Hanna, who is also head of Salomon Smith Barney's Asia Pacific Economic and Market Analysis division, said his forecast is based on the very strong growth shown by economies globally.
"It has been established within the Citigroup (of which Salomon Smith Barney is a member) that the (global growth) numbers are even higher than those predicted by the International Monetary Fund," he said.
