NWF Threatens Suit To Protect Habitat Of Florida Panther.(Brief Article)

NWF, one of its affiliates, the Florida Wildlife Federation, and several other groups have put three federal agencies on notice that they will be sued unless they take immediate action to protect the Florida panther, one of the most endangered large animals in the world.

Targets of the lawsuit are the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Federal Highway Administration. NWF argues that the three government bodies have facilitated urban sprawl in southwest Florida that has destroyed panther habitat.
