Fujifilm, whose 1,560-sq.-meter booth will be the largest it's ever had at a Drupa show, will feature a broad lineup of products and services for print and Web environments. Some of the details won't be revealed until the show, but many of the new products were introduced at a pre- Drupa event for the press in the UK. They run the gamut from platesetters and workflow products to digital cameras and proofers.

Eight-page platesetter. Building on the technology that produced the fastest film imagesetter currently on the market, Fuji will unveil a fast, eight-page platesetter, the P-9600CTP. It employs the multi-beam technology incorporated in the Sumo eight-page internal-drum imagesetter that has been installed at more than 250 sites.

The version on display at Drupa will use two laser beams and achieve a speed of up to 40 plates per hour at 1,219 dpi or 27 plates per hour at 2,438 dpi. (At that speed, it may vie with the new …
