KOCHI, April 3: PEPPER exports during the current fiscal are to touch an all-time high in terms of value realisation crossing Rs. 800 crores out of an estimated total spices export of Rs. 1,800 crores.

Even though the export of second major constituents such as spices oleoresins and other oils had risen in terms of quantity, it fell in terms of value. The reasons pointed out for this situation were the stiff international competition coupled with undercutting by the domestic manufacturers of oleoresins and other spice oils.
