Paddle sports paying off for Hood River company.(Brief Article)
Outdoorplay Inc. has ambitions as big as the outdoors and the Hood River company now says it has the cash to begin satisfying those ambitions.
The company has received a "significant" investment from Gregory Boudreau, a former Egghead.com board member, said Paul Burton, Outdoorplay chief financial officer.
The funds will be used to add employees to fast-growing Outdoorplay and to beef up its internet infrastructure to allow it to keep up with expected demand, Burton said.
Boudreau is not allowing the size of his investment to be disclosed, Burton said. He added that the amount is larger than the typical angel investment made by individual investors. …
