With the advent of mobile data as a viable alternative to voice service, local internet companies are scrambling to launch their own advanced data services, among them is Infocom Technologies, Inc.

As a pioneer in content development, Infocom introduced a full-service WAP (Wireless Application Protocol)-enabled portal to the internet - the first WAP site in the country to be introduced by an internet service provider. To get to Infocom's WAP-ified website, all one needs is a WAP-capable GSM handset and a subscription to Smart Gold GSM with mobile data service.
