Heidelberg has filled out its new Linoscan family of scanners with the debuts at Cebit of smaller-format, lower-end models. They join the original model, the A3-format Linoscan F2400 XL, which was introduced as a midrange scanner last year. Along with the Scitex Jazz and some models from Microtek, the F2400 XL introduced a new market segment by offering a level of quality not previously available in the $8,000- $13,000 price range.

New members of the family announced at Cebit are the Linoscan 1200, 1400, 1450, 1800 and 2200.
