President Joseph Estrada said yesterday he is ready to order an all-out war against Moro extremist rebels belonging to the Abu Sayyaf.
That is, if they make good their threat to behead their 35 hostages, most of which are students and teachers.
"I warn them not to harm the hostages. We will go all out against them if they do," Mr. Estrada told reporters while on a visit to Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
"We will not be intimidated or threatened. But if they do that, something drastic will happen to them... We will give them all-out war... The AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) is ready at any given time to strike. That's my warning to them," he added.
