Michael Johnson, executive creative director of Richard Li's Pacific Century Cyber-Works, is a blue sky kinda guy.
The last time Li, the precocious Hong Kong new-media mogul, bought into one of Johnson's maverick visions, the result was Star TV, which effectively invented satellite television in Asia and was sold to Rupert Murdoch at a huge profit.
Now the 33-year-old Li is putting his billions behind another one of Johnson's brain waves -- to build the world's first converged Web and TV network. That will start to become reality this summer, when Network of the World -- NOW for short -- goes live on the Internet and on Asiasat.
