CEBU CITY - At least 95% of public utility jeepney drivers in this city refused to ply their routes yesterday in protest of oil price hikes, the proposed road user's tax, and new regulations of the Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (Citom).

Striking drivers belonging to the Nagkahiusang Drayber sa Sugbo (Nadsu), Alyansa sa Drayber-Operator Alang sa Reporma (Andar) and Southern Cebu Operators and Drivers Association, Inc. (Scodai) went out to the streets as early as 6 a.m. to try to convince fellow drivers to join the protest.
