PNOC-EDC, Kyushu join hands in geothermal power project.

Japanese utility firm Kyushu Electric Co. has joined hands with the Philippine National Oil Co.-Energy Development Corp. (PNOC-EDC) in developing another geothermal power project in Sorsogon, Albay.

PNOC-EDC vice-president for operations Samson P. Javellana said the utility firm has signed a memorandum of agreement with the government's geothermal arm for a joint-venture project for the development of the proposed 40-megawatt (MW) Rangas-Tanawon geothermal power plant.
