Home Depot's West Seneca store is going 24/7.

The home improvement and building supplies chain has tabbed the West Seneca store as its first Western New York store to remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Atlanta-based Home Depot has been gradually shifting some stores to a 24-hour operation for the past five years. Since then, 85 out of Home Depot's 943 stores operate on a 24-hour basis.

"We realize that not everybody works a 9-to-5 schedule," said John Simley, Home Depot spokesman. "We also realize that not all home improvement emergencies happen at a convenient hour."
