The career in Medicine just didn't happen for Cindy Kamin.
"I thought I wanted to go to medical school," recalled Ms. Kamin, 45, laughing. "Then I had to bring home a cat to dissect."
That was enough for the want-to-be doctor.
Ms. Kamin, who is a CB Richard Ellis vice president and director of its multi-family investment sales, eventually earned an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Pittsburgh, and then went on to earn an MBA, also from Pitt. Any desire to pursue a medical career was cast aside with the cat.
These days, the former medical student is keeping doctor's hours, typically putting in 12-hour days as one of the few multi-family property experts in Pittsburgh. It's typical for Ms Kamin to eat dinner at her desk. …
