How many of your co-workers would know what to do if you had a heart attack, on the job, right now?

Did you know that it takes only four to six minutes for brain damage to start? By 10 minutes, the brain has gone so long without oxygen that the damage is irreversible.

And sometimes CPR isn't enough. More and more workplaces and other public buildings are improving our survival odds by having on hand an AED (automated external defibrillation) device.

Almost a third of cardiac arrest deaths can be prevented if an AED is used immediately, according to Nancy Casper of the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross.
