OAKLAND -- It's a far cry from the typical dry, number-laden annual report.

The cover of Magee-Womens Hospital's 1999 annual report features an eye-catching, shapely jar made by Pittsburgh artist Sarah Smith Corey -- and the rest of the report is filled with pictures of art crafted by 12 local women artists.

The publication is the fourth in a series of Magee annual reports that feature works done by local women photographers, sculptors and artists. The 1999 report, designed and done in-house, doubles as a stand-up desk calendar.
