KYOTO -- The suspect in the schoolyard murder of a boy here wrote dozens of letters addressed to several schools that reveal his frustration with the education system, police said.
The sealed letters -- found in the knapsack of Hiromasa Okamura, an unemployed man from Kyoto's Fushimi-ku -- also indicate his involvement in the murder, police said.
Police also admitted that the suspect had caught on to investigators' surveillance efforts, which lead to an ultimately fatal attempt to question him.
