Winds of change wake slumbering Keningau.

The sleepy little town of Keningau lies a couple of hundred kilometres away from the bustling city of Kota Kinabalu. Quiet though it may be, Keningau is actually the fourth largest town in the state of Sabah.

Several decades ago, tourists used to find their way to Keningau using twin-otter aircrafts with 18 seats. The small airfields in Keningau were used to transport both people and goods. Then, only quaint wooden lodging houses were available for tourists.

Today, Keningau, like everything else in life, has changed with the times. It may be nothing compared to Kota Kinabalu but it has seen some progress.
