KOTA KINABALU - State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Yahya Hussin said the acts of vandalism on structures put up in conjunction with the state capital's elevation to city status on Feb 2 are irresponsible and very regrettable.

He said these people responsible for the vandalism are not worthy of being called city dwellers or warga kota.

The minister said this when visiting the state capital to inspect the preparation for the big celebration where he also toured the damaged structures erected in front of the High Court.

He was accompanied by Mayor-designate Datuk Abdul Ghani Rashid.
