Adobe unveils InCopy editor for InDesign: Rounding out the developer platform.(Product Announcement)

Adobe has unveiled the long-awaited text-editing program that will work in tandem with its InDesign page layout and composition system. Called InCopy, it was introduced at the IFRA newspaper equipment show in Amsterdam on Oct. 11. In essence, InCopy is designed to do for InDesign what CopyDesk does for the Quark Publishing System (QPS) and Xpress. It provides a tight link between the editing of text and the manipulation of design in the InDesign environment.

InCopy will be available to InDesign system integrators for use in building integrated publishing products. It won't be sold to end users of InDesign.
