When the guys who run the NCAA's traditional sports factories look at the top of the basketball poll, who do they see sitting at No. 1?

When they turn on the TV on Saturday to watch the Granddaddy of them all, who will they see at the Rose Bowl?

And when they _ assuming they care _ read those rankings of excellent academic universities, who do they always see near the top?

This odd convergence _ the Cardinal football team in the Rose Bowl and the basketball team ranked tops in the nation _ has suddenly turned high-brow Stanford into Jock State.
The mere idea is offensive to some in the Stanford community. And those are the guys in the football pads.
