It is widely agreed that a layout designed for a printed page doesn't work very well on the Web. Even if you duplicate the layout by presenting it in Acrobat, the resolution of most PC screens is so low that if you can see the whole page, you can't read it.

Yet many print publications see value in their print layouts, from both branding and design vantages. If you publish a newspaper, a catalog, or large ads that show lots of products, a lot of design work probably went into creating layouts that look good and that help readers find the information and products they want.
