Malayan Cement sees 10pc volume growth.

MALAYAN Cement Bhd, which has been recording a steady month-to-month increase in volume since March, expects a modest growth of 10 per cent in production volume next year.

However, this recovery need not translate into an increase in revenue for the company if the price of cement does not stabilise, its managing director Alistair R. Cox said yesterday.

"The volume should be recovering but it is too early to say where the prices will end up or when it will be less volatile.

"We are going to protect our position in the marketplace even if we need to lower our price," he said, adding that the company would also enhance its product quality and customer …
