Leo Moggie: No need to worry about Y2K.

THE final verification report due out next week is expected to confirm that all critical sectors within Malaysia are fully Y2K-compliant and detailed contingency planning has been finalised and tested.

Energy, Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Leo Moggie said all work on systems and equipment has been completed and the report is expected to show that "Malaysia is in good shape" to face the turn of the century.

"The country can look forward to a trouble-free rollover into the new millennium," he said when launching a Y2K information kit at the ministry in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
