Duke returns to San Antonio with 306-unit apartment project.

There's no place like home.

A former San Antonio development firm, now based in Dallas, is re-entering the San Antonio apartment market with a new 306-unit project in the North Central part of the city and is looking for additional development sites.

Duke Inc. has begun construction on Renaissance at Castle Hills, a Class A development on 15 acres of the former Halff estate at Lockhill Selma Road and West Avenue, says Taylor Stone, vice president of development with Duke. The project will have about 15 three-story buildings and will be completed next summer, he says. He says the development will cost about $16.25 million to build, including land costs. …
