On the outside, Jimmy Johnson said all the right things after Thursday's 20-0 holiday roasting at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys. He praised the host team's quarterback. He praised the host team's defense.

On the inside, though, his giblets must have been churning.

Johnson's Miami Dolphins did not rise to the Thanksgiving occasion yesterday at Texas Stadium. His radar-perfect kicker kept veering toward Texarkana. His quarterback hasn't looked so bad since, well, since ``Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.''
