Folsom dealer expands car empire to San Diego.(Brief Article)
Chuck Peterson, who owns Folsom Lake Ford and Folsom Lake Toyota, is branching out to San Diego.
He finished buying one San Diego dealership with four manufacturer franchises last week, and expects to close on another dealership in the city within 30 days.
And then Peterson, who owns the Sacramento area's second- and fourth-largest auto dealerships based on gross sales, hopes to buy a third San Diego dealership in another year.
Why San Diego? Peterson said he wants to diversify into other regional economies, he likes the city and it's a strong market.
