PROPAGANDA RETURNS TO PIC BIZ, TAPS HESS.(Brief Article)

HOLLYWOOD Propaganda Films, the multifaceted banner that has fostered such helmers as Michael Bay and David Fincher before shuttering its film production efforts after a series of mergers, is returning to the feature pic biz.

Toward that goal, the commercials, musicvid and talent management company last week tapped Rick Hess, head of production at Phoenix Pictures, as its new prexy.

Hess will work with chief operating officer Trevor Macy, overseeing all of Propaganda's efforts, especially the revival of its film division (which had fostered such pics as "The Game" and "Sleepers"); it was shuttered after U acquired Propaganda.
