Derivatization is time-consuming, and when using pre-column derivatization, the effect of the sample matrix on the yield of the derivatization reaction must be accounted for. The AAA-Direct is compatible with commonly used hydrolysis procedures, including 6 M HCl, 4 M methanesulfonic acid (MSA), 4.2 M NaOH, and performic acid/6 M HCl.
