MAXIS IN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH COMPAQ TO PROVIDE INTERNET SERVICES (365).
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 (Bernama) -- Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Maxis Communications Bhd, has formed a strategic partnership with Compaq Computer Corporation Malaysia Sdn Bhd to become an Internet Service Provider (IPS) in Malaysia.
Under the build, operate and transfer (BOT) agreement signed here today, Compaq will supply, deliver and commission services, hardware and software for the ISP service and operations, said Maxis Communications chairman Tun Hanif Omar at the ceremony.
As part of Compaq's consortium, Hanif said Maxis would work with Microsoft (M) Sdn Bhd which would be the main software vendor and provider of the operating system while …
