PORT DICKSON, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) has spent RM181 million since 1994 to improve sewerage treatment plants throughout the country, its executive chairman, Datuk Dr Mohd Aminuddin Rouse, said today.

He said this is because a large number of treatment plants needed to be repaired and upgraded to improve their operational efficiency.

In addition, IWK has spent about RM270 million in building new sewerage infrastructure.

"To date IWK has taken over more than 6,500 treatment plants which are connected to more than 7,500 km of sewerage pipes throughout the country," he said at the official opening of the Sungai Lukut …
