Sep. 18 -- The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued Charlie Thomas Ford in federal court on Friday for alleged discrimination based on race and natural origin, contending that a black salesman from Nigeria was continually referred to as "Ebola virus."
There wasn't a day that the salesman, James Eboka, wasn't called "Ebola" or "Ebola virus" by co-workers and supervisors, said Ned Gill III, Eboka's lawyer.
The Ebola virus can be spread by human contact and can lead to death within a few weeks. It is found mostly in east, central and southern Africa.
