Aug. 28 -- He sat just several feet from the Atlantic Ocean, relaxing in a beach chair under the warm sun, listening to the waves crashing, the seagulls circling, the sea breezes blowing.
And the cellular phone ringing.
"I'll call you later," said a bare-chested Arthur Spiro, 48, with one hand pressed against his ear to deaden the sound of the roaring waters in Sea Bright. Grasping a tiny phone, Spiro had wrapped up a conversation with his 22-year-old daughter and dug a hole in the moist sand with his feet at the same time.
