Leticia Banada Tan 1999 Librarian of the Year.(Brief Article)
Leticia Banada Tan of Norwalk, California, was honored last April 14 as "1999 Librarian of the Year" by the County of Los Angeles Public Library System for her outstanding performance in a variety of assignments. County Librarian Sandra F. Reuben presented her with a plaque and a trophy during the Library Week celebration at Radisson Hotel in Culver City.
The Librarian Award is presented annually to a librarian "for exellence in providing library service to the general public, outstanding performance in a variety of assignments, sensitivity to community needs, leadership, inspiration to colleagues, and professional involvements."
