IBM looks to put down real estate roots again in South Florida.
The computer giant, which built and gave birth to the personal computer at the sprawling Boca Raton complex now known as Blue Lake Corporate Center, is soliciting proposals from developers to build a 190,000-square-foot facility in South Palm Beach or north Broward counties, real estate sources say.
IBM seeks to consolidate its South Florida operations, which span five offices and 1,500 employees from West Palm Beach to Coral Gables, sources familiar with the deal said.
