Figure "13" is an unlucky number for superstition-believers but for Laos this number could be the turning point in the 20th SEA Games in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Laos has an embarrassing record in the SEA Games - the only nation that had not won a gold medal since the start of the Games in 1959.

In this 13th SEA Games appearance, they are determined to break the jinx by romping home at least a gold medal.

Laos, the smallest contingent with only 74 athletes and officials among the 10 participating countries, are confident of erasing past memories to clinch the elusive gold medal.
