The Rainforest World Music Festival is back!

It will be held on Aug 28-29 at the Sarawak Cultural Village, Damai Beach, near Kuching.

Last year's inaugural festival was a great success, attracting an enthusiastic crowd of residents and foreign artistes.

The performers who will be back again this year include Randy Raine-Reusch, a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, and Akar Umbi, a unique Malaysian ensemble which combines contemporary music with the traditional vocals of the aboriginal Temuan people.

Other highlights are traditional Cuban music from Alma Latina, another Havana-based group which plays Caribbean music, and bands from Peru and …
