Lucent has added stronger voice-over-IP (VOIP) and ATM capabilities to its Definity PBX systems with Release 7.1 of its Definity Enterprise Communications Server (ECS) software and hardware upgrade package.
The package, unveiled last week, enables Definity systems to utilize IP, ATM, or circuit-switched networks for voice and fax calls, as well as call center, wireless, and messaging applications.
