A father is one of the most important person in a child's life. He is looked up to and respected. He may receive so much love but doesn't always receive the recognition he deserves. This makes Father's Day the perfect way to say thank you.

It is a day not only to honour your father but all men who have acted as a father figure. It is a time of breakfast in bed, overcooked mee hoon and burnt toast, family dinners, "I love yous" and, of course, gifts.

The simple word "father" stirs up complex images and feelings. What does your father mean to you?

That was the question I posed to four young adults who were determined to make this Father's Day a memorable one.
