Sartorius Corp. (131 Heartland Blvd., Edgewood, NY 11717; Tel: 800/368-7178) offers novel Sartobind membrane adsorbers for what it terms "high performance membrane chromatography." Sartorius technical representative Denise Schattino says the Sartobind membrane adsorbers are basically "filter membranes that have functional groups on them." Some of the functional groups for ion exchange chromatography include sulfonic acid, strongly acidic cation exchanger, quaternary ammonium, strongly basic anion exchanger, carboxyl, weakly acidic cation exchanger, diethylamine, and weakly basic anion exchanger.
