Emery Worldwide isn't letting sagging traffic in its North America network slow down capacity expansion, The integrated carrier added two 747s last month ahead of the five DC-10 freighters Emery had already announced.
Emery says it entered into its first long-term - albeit only one-year - commitment for 747 freighters to meet growing demand in Puerto Rico and Southern California. Emery spokesman Rocco Sacci said the carrier is wet leasing two 747-100s from Evergreen International Airlines "in response to the success" of its new guaranteed delivery program.
