The Brunei Immigration Department is to get tough on companies which employ foreign workers without proper papers. They could be fined from a minimum of $30,000 and up to $100,000.

The new regulations are to come into force this month. The department expressed disappointment that some employers were still breaking the law. They will from now on face stern action, the department warned.
