Schickedanz Brothers planning project similar to Pulte's Lexington Oaks

Schickedanz Brothers plans to break ground next year on a new residential development in Pasco County.

The company, founded in 1951 in Toronto and a player in Florida since the 1970s, recently plunked down $2.95 million for 1,167 acres of farmland near Wesley Chapel. The site is located on the south side of SR 54, about live miles east of Interstate 75.

Schickedanz officials haven't yet worked out the details for the new project - or even a name but company president Gunther Flaig said he would like to start development by this time next year and deliver the first lot by summer …
