RUSSELL Market, one of the oldest fruits and vegetables market in the city, has imbibed the modern payment system of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machine, thanks to the successful persuasion of the Citibank to introduce the debit card acceptance to its customers holding "Suvidha" account with it.

Russell Market, built in 1921, boasts of a daily retail transaction of fruits and vegetables worth about Rs. 6 lakhs. Besides, it also supplies products to institutions such as leading five-star hotels and other establishments.
