Beth A. Houghton has been elected chairwoman of the new Signature Bank of St. Petersburg, becoming the first woman to serve in that capacity in the Tampa Bay area.
Houghton is the only woman among seven organizing members of Signature Bank, which will open this summer on Second Avenue North in downtown St. Petersburg. The board elected the chair from among its directors,
