Apr. 8 -- CITRIX SYSTEMS' SHARES FALL ON SALES JITTERS: Shares of Citrix Systems, the Fort Lauderdale software maker, fell as much as 26 percent Wednesday amid concerns that software demand could weaken as companies focus on fixing Year 2000 computer problems.
Citrix finished the day down 15 percent, falling $4.68-3/4 to close at $31. The shares had dipped as low as $26.50. More than 12.1 million shares traded hands, more than five times the average volume. Analysts said demand for software may be hurt as customers delay purchases while fixing computers that could malfunction at the turn of the millennium because of a widespread programming glitch.
