NEW DELHI, March 30

LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of LG Electronics of Korea, has registered a sales turnover of Rs. 480 crores in the calendar year 1998, with Rs. 366 crores of it coming from the nine-month period ending December 1998.

In the period between April and December 1998 - LG is changing its accounting year to January-December - profit before tax stood at Rs. 8.9 crores, while the profit after tax was Rs. 1.2 crores.

Also, during the first three months of 1999, LG garnered sales worth Rs. 210 crores, an increase of almost 200 per cent over the corresponding period last year, said Mr. Rajeev …
