KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 (Bernama) -- Sony (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, in an effort to capitalise on the rising demand for flat-screen colour tvs, will install greater manufacturing capability to enhance the production of its popular Wega tvs here, a company official said today.

This would entail the transfer of the basic designs and functions of its Wega tv from its headquarters in Japan to its Bangi factory near here, said Sony Malaysia's managing director H. Kojima.

He said this to reporters after a prize giving ceremony to winners of its "Autograph-A-Sony" contest here today.
