KOTA KINABALU, March 27 (Bernama) -- Power consumption in the country is expected to increase further because of a rise in industrial and commercial activities, Tenaga Nasional Bhd executive chairman Datuk Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Ali said today.
In some ways, the expected rise reflected the improved performance of the industrial and commercial sectors and this indicated that the country's economy was on the right track to recovery, he said.
"Insyaallah, it is a sign of a better things to come," he added.
Dr Ahmad Tajuddin said the power utility was confident of recording a new high in power consumption over the next few weeks.
