BERNAMA THE MALAYSIAN NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY: EKRAN BUYS TWO COMPANIES WITH RECLAIMABLE LAND .
KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- Ekran Bhd is increasing its land banks and re-establishing its core business activity in property development with the purchase of Skylark Jaya Sdn Bhd (Skylark) and Langkasuka Marina Development Sdn Bhd (Langkasuka Marina).
Ekran has paid a substantial sum from its RM135 million cash consideration for the entire interest in Skylark and had paid in full the RM300 million cash consideration for a 60 percent stake in Langkasuka Marina.
Ekran said in a statement these acquisitions are expected to enhance the group's earnings in the long term.
